Planning a wedding can be a difficult and very time consuming task. But alas, like everything else these days, we can look to technology to help make wedding planning easier on us. Below are many ways in which we can make use of technology to help make planning the big day a little less stressful.
Create a Wedding Website
Having your own wedding website to inform your guests about things for your wedding is a great idea. It can save a lot of phone calls and conversations about hotels near the reception, directions on how to get the wedding ceremony and where you are registered. Having a web site should not replace sending out wedding invitations, but it can mean having a lot less inserts, also keeping your wedding costs down. If you are really tech savvy, you can have your guests RSVP online too! Then you do not have to deal with phone calls and mail. It can also save money because you do not need to send everyone a stamped RSVP postcard or envelope.
You can even add a wedding blog to keep friends and family up to date on how all of your planning is going.
Online Research
Making use of the vast amount of information on the web. Q&A sites like Yahoo! Answers are great resources to ask for ideas and opinions, and just for general research youc an get great planning information from places like Everything About Weddings. Making use of online resources is a great way for coming up with unique ideas to help make planning your wedding day special.
Wedding Invitations
As there are many online invitation and party planning tools out there such as eVite it is possible to avoid having to write out or print up all your wedding invitations. This can not only be a huge time saver, but a great cost savings too.
Wedding Music
Instead of hiring a potentially lame wedding band or DJ, consider making use of your iPod. You can take wedding song requests on your online RSVP system and create song playlists on your iPod for the reception dance.
Online Wedding Registries
You can create wedding registries online and save the hassles of going into the store and getting the sales pitch about how this is the time to request just about everything you will ever need. Now you can select items you wish for in the comfort of your own home. You can also track your registry online at many retailers also, so be sure to look into that when dealing with your registry.

It seems ridiculous when someone tells you to choose a theme. Some wives feel like they are invited to play dress up. In some cases this may be true. It does not necessarily require everyone to be in costume though.
It is not necessary to have a theme. You can have a great wedding without having to think about one. Most wives find a useful tool. They use the theme of the coordination of the appearance of their marriage. The theme of your costume tells the style of dress you are looking for. It tells your wedding coordinator on the type of decorations and the mood you want at your wedding and / or reception. A theme injects a little fun in your marriage. You can add a bit of suspense, particularly for women. Let’s face it, women like to dress for the occasion and the opportunity, time and money, you bet, they dress at Nine.
A theme also adds some entertainment. Think about it.
We all watch shows like the Oscars and Emmy Awards. Sometimes we look to see who won. Most of the time, we look to see who brings what. The fashion on the red carpet is what attracts many women to these shows, and not the prices themselves. Therefore, a subject is useful for your wedding. It allows your guests to show their best pursuant to watch your theme. The rest of your guests to enjoy a room filled with beautifully dressed women, wonder why they do not think the same style. A theme can help spark creativity. For example, you can choose to have a theme of Cinderella. Your dress is full skirt with a tight bodice, and, of course, gloves. Depending on the version of Cinderella you choose, you may need a glass slipper or a slipper wood placed on your feet - yes, the two can be purchased or made to measure for you, but make sure that they are comfortable or you may be in a tortured night. While the cars in the shape of pumpkins are difficult to obtain, in general, cars pulled by four horses can be hired. Who knows, you might even find someone who has pumpkin in perfect shape for your wedding.
Instead of launching the bouquet, why not simply ask the unmarried men to fit the glass slipper on the right lady. This is a way you can practice your skills match since you can rig it so that the shoe meets the lady of your choice. You need to find the prince before coming to the lucky lady. Then you can have a glass slippers for your wedding favors.
This is just one of many themes that you may have. It’s really up to you and your groom to decide what look and they want their marriage. The theme can just add a little spice, color and imagination of an event that you want to be truly memorable.
Do not be afraid to be unconventional. What can be unconventional today can become a family tradition later. Who knows?
No matter what your theme, you will still want some wedding koozies.

Wedding day checklist:
Bride’s dress? Check
Caterer? Check
Flowers? Check
Preacher? Check
Rings? Check
Koozies? Check

Bridesmaids jersey number? Uh … gimme a sec. Hey honey, what number are the bridesmaids wearing again?
On September 30, 2007, Panthers fans Mark Wyatt and Amy Mogler were married at a “tailgate” ceremony held at the Omni Hotel in Charlotte, NC. A reception followed immediately after, with tailgate cuisine ranging from BBQ short-ribs, gourmet hamburgers, stadium-style hot dogs, and Panthers-blue punch. …
The bride wore a beautiful white wedding gown, and the groom was dressed in black with a Panthers tie. The maid of honor and the bridesmaids wore customized white team jerseys with the number 9 signifying the month, and either Maid of Honor or Bridesmaid on the nameplate. The best man, usher, and groomsmen all wore black team with the number 30 signifying the date, and either Best Man, Usher or Groomsman on the nameplate. The flower girl was a future Top Cat, wearing the traditional black and blue cheerleader outfit, and the ring bearer wore a blue number 30 Ring Bearer jersey.
And yes, the bride wore her dress to the game. Cause nothing could be finer than to be hitched in Carolina at a Carolina Panthers … foot .. ball … gaaaaaame! Carolina!
If only every fall wedding could be so accommodating, huh? The toast with Coozies was a nice touch.
